Although I had believed in the existence of Jesus I hadn't realised that he had died for me. That at his resurrection he had defeated death and is alive today, interceding on my behalf to God the Father.

I now realize that being a "good person" doesn't make me a Christian. Only by believing that Christ died for me can I make that claim.


I painted the picture entitled "Love Eternal a few days later. The setting is Crowe Church Ringwood, where I truly understood what Christ did for me.


Because God is love, he wants everyone to live for eternity with him. But only someone without sin can go to heaven, and as there is no-one without sin in their lives this would be impossible


God loves us so much that he sent his only Son who had committed no sin, to die in our place so that we could be reconciled with Him. But God doesn't force himself on us. He has given us free will.
